Metrolina Corvettes
MISSION STATEMENT
Metrolina Corvettes aims to serve the Charlotte, NC area as a group of Corvette owners that enjoy the fellowship of other local Corvette enthusiasts with an emphasis on fun and driving safety. We encourage and provide an opportunity for members to exchange knowledge and information on how to best maintain and enjoy our Corvettes.
CLUB POLICIES AND GUIDELINES
While maintaining active membership in the Club members will respect and adhere to the following policies and guidelines.
- The name of the Club shall be known as Metrolina Corvettes.
- The Club shall be led by the officers who are directly elected by the membership.
- Active membership in the Club shall be restricted to owners of Corvette car(s) and their spouse or significant other.
- Membership is available to any Corvette owner who has demonstrated an interest in the Club and has shown their support for the goals and purposes of the Club.
- Minimum age for membership and driving in Club events is 21 years or older.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
- There will be no discrimination against any member regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, religious or political beliefs, or any other characteristic that would violate their human rights.
- There will be no annual membership dues. Members are encouraged to donate $1 at each monthly meeting to cover small incidental costs. From time to time, as a particular expense dictates, a special voluntary collection may be taken.
- Members will respect the property of others.
- Members will maintain a positive Club spirit and attitude, and refrain from derogatory comments against other members, other clubs or other club’s members.
- Members must maintain control of their vehicles at all times. Burnouts and showing off will not be tolerated.
- For courtesy to others, bringing small children and pets to Club functions is discouraged.
- While alcohol consumption may be consumed responsibly at meetings, events and activities where permissible, excessive consumption that leads to poor judgment or behavior, or a violation of local laws and/or injury to others is grounds for suspension and/or termination of membership.
- The Club will not tolerate use of illegal drugs prior to or during Club functions.
- Disregard or a violation of any of the above policies and guidelines may be considered grounds for termination of membership.
